That's me, on the left, with my younger brother, Cody, in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Germany. Agriculture may be a huge part of my life, but travel is just as important.

Who am I?

My name is Charmayne Hefley, and I am a Digital Media Strategist with over 5 years experience managing social media accounts for small businesses, agriculture and an international food company. I was born and raised in California where I began my love for agriculture in the rodeo circuit before discovering FFA in high school. I received my Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Communications from Fresno State, where my love for agriculture continued to grow through my agriculture sorority, Sigma Alpha.

In a nutshell, I went from not being a fan of social media in high school and college to becoming obsessed with using it as a way to tell my story and to share the story of those involved in agriculture. Not only does my world revolve around agriculture (technically everyone's does), I also am incredibly fond of travel, and have a goal to fill my passport with stamps before it expires in 2025.

Why start a blog?

I've been watching others create content on their own blogs for years, and I finally realized that it's time to let my own voice shine. And maybe Global Hoofprints can inspire me to see the world, share my story and do what makes me happy every day.

What kind of content should you expect?

On Global Hoofprints, you should expect to see blog posts that center on timely topics in agriculture, my adventures (with work and on my own time), and social media tips that might come in handy if you're starting your own business and looking to improve your social media knowledge.
